Rev. Cash's February Message

 A minister asked his church family in the opening of his sermon, “What is your favorite fruit?”  Following a chorus of the names of fruit, he asked, “What is your favorite car?”  Again, a chorus of American made and foreign made cars rang out the through the sanctuary!  Now that the congregation was responsive, he asked, “What is the primary purpose of (name of church)?  Much to his dismay, the sanctuary became silent!

 The prayer of Jesus to His Father in John 17 is that the church “Might be one as we are one.”  Jesus is praying for the church to have the relationship with God that he had:  A relationship of “oneness” in purpose.  The opening statement of Jesus in John 17 states, “I have glorified you on earth….”
